meet H Street’s general manager
Dexter Sandy Jr. leads our H Street location, the original Atlas Doghouse, as General Manager, and there’s no one more fitting to carry that legacy forward. Since joining Atlas nearly two years ago, Dex has quickly risen through the ranks, earning his role through a combination of natural talent, hard work, and an unwavering kindness that defines everything he does.
With a background in obedience training and a deep love for dogs, Dex brings both skill and passion to his leadership. A proud Rottweiler enthusiast, he’s often joined by his own dog, Ventress, who is a familiar face around the doghouse. Beyond Atlas, Dex is also actively involved in rescue work abroad, helping care for and rehabilitate dogs in his home island of Tobago. Known for his gentle, calm presence, he makes every dog feel safe, loved, and understood, whether he’s playing, comforting, or simply sitting with them. H Street is where Atlas began, and with Dex at the helm, it’s in incredibly good hands.

No matter where life takes you, Atlas Doghouse is always here for your pup; a safe, loving home away from home. We happily accommodate longer stays and ensure your dog receives constant attention, care, and social time while you’re away.
